I am beginning to think that as long as the Wilpons own this team it will always resemble a Ringling Brothers three ring circus more than it will a legitimate contender.

For Fred to come out and say "everyone" knows his son Jeff has done a great job is both absurd and delusional. I give the Mets a bye for 2006 because they hit a hot pitching staff in 2006 against the Cards. But 2007-2010 have been huge disappointments; especially 2007 & 2008 when the team did its impression of a beach chair and folded when it really counted.

Leadership is overrated. And if I were a player, I wouldn't be taking tips from some career back-up barely over the Mendoza Line. The bottom line is, he can't hit, he's not particularly fast, and isn't a great defender. There's plenty of other second basemen I'd rather have backing up, including Ruben Tejada.

Cora's a nice guy, but he has to go.

Cora was released today, along with Castillo and Ollie going on trade waivers. The team is slowly getting rid of it's problems.

And not sure why we sent down Feliciano instead of Carter, Feliciano's actually been pretty good, while Carter has not.

Good move releasing Cora. The guy wasn't special...

Castillo is terrible they should just get rid of him and make Ruben Tejada the new starter. I'm on thee fence whether i want the Mets to trade Beltran or not. Beltran if they do trade him they should trade him near the 2011 deadline to at lest see how he preforms. I don't no if Pagan will keep up his great play next year so i think its a good idea to hold on to Beltran for now. As for pitching the rotation isn't that bad if we have Santana, Pelfrey, Niese, Maine, and Dickey. If the Mets do want a starter thou i suggest they look heavily into Bronson Arroyo, although he may re-sign with the Reds. Brett Myers, Dan Harden, Ted Lilly, Jaiver Vazquez and maybe even Cliff Lee if they think they have a chance. The Mets are always making changes to their Bullpen. Takahashi is a great Set-up man and could even go two or three innings if they need him to and K-Rod scares me whenever he gets on the mound for the save but he is a solid closer and i trust him so there set to stay, everybody else i could care less about in the bullpen except maybe for Feliciano.
