Default Buyers or Sellers?

Apparently the Brewers are meeting this week to determine whether they should be buyers, with an eye on next year (when they still have Fielder under contract) or rebuild a bit, sell-off Fielder and wait for a few years down the road.

Just wondering, Brewers fans: what do you think they should do?

Sell, sell, sell! Get Fielder and his fat @$$ out of here, and trade off Corey Hart while his value is higher than it will ever be again.

Hart could net us at least one pitcher, maybe two. Fielder could net us several pitchers, and another good position spec.

Add Rickie Weeks to that. There's rumors that we might be trading Brett Lawrie, and if that happens, we need to keep Weeks (and we should keep Weeks anyway, he's been invaluable to us this year).

Management's answer should be an easy one. If they don't plan on paying Tex money to Fielder then his value is higher now than this off-season or next trade deadline. Your team can not afford to let another player go without getting stuff in return (although you are not going to get the moon either right now).

I would think if you can snag a quality arm + a B level or two it would be a good haul in return. You need to recoop some of what was lost when you got CC.

1.5 years of Fielder will get you more on the trade market than .5 when they realize that they are out of it next year.

They need to kind of wait out the Cardinals, for when their guys like Wainwright and Carpenter start needing extensions and they have to sign cheap guys to fill out the roster.

They should sell off anyone not named Braun, Gallardo, or Weeks, as stated before.

I'd keep at least one of Gamel and McGehee as well, though they could make them the future corner pairing.

Sell, sell, sell, sell...too bad aside from Fielder and Braun, Yovani is the only other guy with trade value
