Default Houston and Phillies have deal in place for Oswalt?

According to multiple twitter sources. Though it hasnt been confirmed. Even if Oswalt agrees to pitch in Philly, dont you think Oswalt would have to restructure his deal to a 2 year deal with an option where he makes around $10 mil a year? I would think this deal would go down to the wire, if it happens at all.

I just don't see Roy waiving the option and going to philly and don't see phillyguaranteeing the option. Never know what Houston is willing to do though. For Philly this is about money and winning now, vs prospects, so I could see Philly throwing in more if Houston picks up more money. Still a lot of unknowns.

I just have a feeling that Oswalt is going to get lit up at Citizens Bank Park. Even if he doesn't, my money is still on the Breves to win the division.

I'm just happy to see the Phillies mortgaging their future to a degree. In a couple years when all of the Mets AA prospects are ready, our team will be a lot younger and cheaper and hopefully we'll experience more success.

J.A. Happ is so overrated. Ed Wade is such an idiot. Hopefully Oswalt rejects the trade. It's no secret who his number 1 preferred destination is.

J.A. Happ is overrated, but really, I don't think they could turn down his nice ERA and win total down from last year. =p

You know how stupid front offices roll.

I hear that the Astros are going to take on a lot of his salary.

Yes. They will also be receiving crap talent. God, I don't know how Ed Wade didn't demand Dom Brown as a starting point.

Because he probably thought that he was set with Carlos Lee, Michael Bourn, and Hunter Pence. You can't overlook his stupidity.

Anyways, the worse the Astros do in this deal, the better for the Cardinals in the future.
